1. How fast is a standard ride confirmed?

Requests placed 6:00 AM–12:00 AM PST are typically confirmed within minutes. Outside those hours, submit in advance and we’ll prioritize it when we open.

2. Do clients pay at time of ride?

No. Rides are lien-covered with attorney approval. Clients never pay upfront.

3. What states do you operate in?

Lien Rides is proud to serve all 50 states.

4. Can attorneys track ride progress?

Yes. Firms can monitor ride status in real time - from scheduling, to driver en route, to client drop-off.

5. What types of rides are available?

We offer Standard Car Transportation, wheelchair and gurney transportation, and post-surgical rides all lien-based.

6. What’s the difference between a Flexible Ride and a Fixed-Time Ride?

With a Flexible Ride, the client receives a request link and can book a ride whenever they’re ready. With a Scheduled Ride, the ride is reserved for a specific time and arrives automatically, clients cannot request it at a different time.

7. Can I view ride history by case?

Yes. Our platform provides complete ride logs, searchable and filterable by client or case.

8. Can I control how and when clients get rides?

You can choose Attorney-Controlled rides, requested and scheduled by your team, or Client-Requested rides, where the client initiates the request but it requires your approval.

Standard Car Transportation Questions

1. What is included in a Standard Car Transportation with Lien Rides?

A Standard Car Transportation is a ride in a regular sedan or SUV for clients who do not require special equipment like wheelchair ramps or gurneys. It’s ideal for medical appointments, pharmacy trips, and evaluations.

2. Can I schedule recurring rides for therapy or follow-up visits?

Yes. Standard car rides can be set up as flexible, one-time requests or recurring appointments to ensure clients never miss care.

3. How soon in advance should I request a ride?

For Standard Car Transportation, rides can usually be requested same day. If you submit a request between 6:00 AM and 12:00 AM PST, we’ll typically confirm it within 5 minutes. If you need a ride outside those hours, we recommend providing advance notice so we can schedule your transportation without delay.

Wheelchair Transportation Questions

4. What makes wheelchair transportation different from a standard ride?

Wheelchair transportation uses ADA-compliant vans equipped with ramps or lifts and securements to safely accommodate manual and power wheelchairs.

5. Are wheelchair drivers trained and insured?

Yes. All Lien Rides wheelchair drivers are vetted, insured, and trained to safely operate accessible vehicles and handle mobility equipment.

6. Can attorneys approve multiple wheelchair rides at once?

Yes. Attorneys can authorize single rides or recurring wheelchair trips for ongoing therapy, rehab, or specialist visits.

7. How soon in advance should I request a wheelchair ride?

We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice when scheduling wheelchair transportation. This ensures we can dispatch an ADA-compliant vehicle with ramps or lifts and a trained, insured driver who can safely assist with your wheelchair.

Gurney Transportation Questions

8. What is gurney (stretcher) transportation used for?

Gurney transportation is designed for clients who must remain reclined during travel due to serious injuries, spine conditions, or post-surgical restrictions.

9. Is gurney transport the same as an ambulance?

No. Gurney transport is non-emergency and used for scheduled medical visits. It offers a reclined stretcher ride without emergency medical personnel or equipment.

10. How much notice is required for gurney transportation?

Gurney rides must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. This allows us to reserve a specialized stretcher-equipped vehicle and assign trained staff to handle the transport safely and comfortably.

Post-Surgical Transportation Questions

11. What is post-surgical transportation used for?

12. Is post-surgical transport the same as an ambulance?

Attorneys & Firms Questions

14. How does Lien Rides keep me compliant with California Ethics rules?

Lien Rides ensures you stay compliant by operating entirely on a lien basis. Since California attorneys are not allowed to advance personal or living expenses for clients, our service provides a compliant alternative.

15. What if my client’s case doesn’t result in a recovery? Am I responsible?

No. Lien Rides only gets paid if the case resolves successfully. If there’s no recovery, there is no obligation to pay.

Booking & Billing Questions

16. How are rides requested?

All ride requests are submitted online directly through our platform.

17. Can any staff member request rides on the firm's behalf?

Yes. Your authorized staff can request rides for clients through the platform with full oversight and control.

18. Do I need to sign a lien?

Yes, both the firm and the client will need to sign a lien agreement.

19. What documentation will my firm receive after using your service?

We generate a detailed invoice for every ride, which you can use for demand packages, liens, or internal records.

20. How are rides priced?

Ride costs are determined by several factors, including distance, time, and type of vehicle required.

21. How are we billed?

You are billed per ride. There are no setup fees or monthly commitments.

22. Can I negotiate lien reductions after settlement?

Yes, we are flexible in working with attorneys to ensure fair lien reductions when appropriate.

23. Are drivers licensed and insured?
