To power Lien Rides and your experience, we collect, use, and share certain personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how Lien Rides handles that information and how you can exercise your choices and rights.

The Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to all Lien Rides users, including Firms (law firms and staff), Clients (personal injury individuals), and Providers (transportation providers, including applicants). It covers all Lien Rides applications, websites, technology, facilities, and services (collectively, the Lien Rides Platform).

This policy governs personal information. It does not cover aggregate data or data that does not identify you. Your use of the Platform is also subject to our Terms of Service. Some parts of the Platform may operate under separate terms or notices. Those will be presented to you when applicable.

The Information We Collect

When you use the Platform, we collect information you provide, usage information, device information, and information from other sources. We may combine this information.

A. Information You Provide to Us

Your Account. Name, email, phone, birth date, profile photo, lien related details such as firm affiliation. Optional profile items like saved addresses and mobility preferences. We may request identity documents or selfie imagery. If you link case tools or other features, you may provide additional data.

Provider Information. Application details including name, contact info, DOB, profile photo, address, government ID number, driver’s license, vehicle and insurance details, and lien or settlement related billing info. In some areas we may request business licenses or permits.

User Content. Feedback, surveys, research responses, messages, and any attachments. Users may choose to submit audio or video, including safety recordings initiated in app.

B. Information We Collect When You Use the Platform

Location Information. We collect approximate and precise location from GPS, Wi-Fi, IP, Bluetooth, and device signals.

Usage Information. Date, time, destination, route, lien notes, referral use. Pages and content viewed, and timestamps of activity.

Device Information. Device model, IP, browser, OS, carrier or manufacturer, radio type, language, app installs, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, and push tokens. For Providers, mobile sensor data such as speed, direction, acceleration and related safety telemetry.

Communications Between Users. A third party facilitates masked calls and texts. We collect metadata and contents of SMS or chat. We may monitor or record calls placed through the Platform for security. We will notify you before recording.

Address Book Contacts. With permission, we access contacts to support referrals.

Calendar Information. With permission, we access selected calendar data for features such as appointment alerts. We follow provider policies, including Google’s API Services User Data Policy. You can revoke access at any time.

Cookies, Analytics, and Third-Party Technologies. We use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and analytics to understand navigation, improve safety, personalize content and ads, and save preferences.

Inferences. We may infer patterns from your interactions. For example, frequent rides to medical facilities may indicate case related needs. We may infer approximate location from precise signals.

C. Information We Collect From Other Sources

Service Providers and Other Parties. Background check providers, lien partners, compliance firms, marketing partners, and similar sources may provide identity verification, program participation, transaction, fraud detection, vehicle, demographic, or marketing related information.

Enterprise Programs. If you use Lien Rides through a firm or organization, we may receive your name and contact details from that organization.

Concierge Service. If a ride is coordinated for you, we receive your contact information and pickup and drop off locations.

Referral Programs. We receive your info from referrers, and we may share referral status with them.

Other Users and Sources. Law enforcement, insurers, medical facilities, or case coordinators may provide information for safety, support, or investigations.


How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

Providing the Platform. Verify identity and maintain accounts, connect and track rides, present offerings and ads, process liens and billing, enable communications, collect feedback, facilitate third party features, and operate promotions.

Security and Safety. Authenticate users, verify Providers and vehicles, prevent and investigate incidents or misuse, encourage safe behavior, detect fraud, and remove unsafe or fraudulent users.

Community. Communicate about events and campaigns, personalize content and communications, and support case related donations you choose to make.

Customer Support. Investigate and resolve questions, and respond to requests.

Improvement. Research, testing, and analysis. Develop features and partnerships. Fix bugs and improve operations, security, and models.

Legal. Respond to legal demands and regulatory obligations.

Marketing and Advertising. Provide Lien Rides and third party marketing that may be personalized. See the choices section for controls.


How We Disclose Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share certain data for personalized advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising as described in jurisdiction specific notices.

A. Sharing Between Lien Rides Users

Clients or Firms and Providers.

We mask phone numbers for calls and texts. With your consent, we may share actual contact info to help resolve lost and found.

Shared Coordination. In shared rides, participants may see each other’s name, photo, and route locations.

Rides Coordinated or Billed by Others. If a ride is arranged or subsidized by another party, we may share ride details with that party such as names, contact info, date, time, lien amount, region, pickup and drop off, feedback, and incident details.

Linked Accounts and Your Requests. If you link with a firm account or trusted contacts, we share usage or live location per your settings.

Referral Programs. We may share referral status so referrers can receive credit.

B. Disclosures to Service Providers and Other Parties

We may disclose categories of information such as identifiers, government ID data, images, vehicle and insurance data, lien or financial info, commercial history, network activity, location, and inferences. Purposes include account servicing, ride fulfillment, customer service, lien processing, provider applications, identity verification, fraud and safety detection, insurance processing, compliance programs, marketing and advertising, case support, requested safety services, analytics, and research.

We may disclose information to comply with laws, legal processes, permits, or enforce our Terms, to cooperate with law enforcement, to protect rights and safety, or to exercise or defend legal claims.

D. In Connection with Sale or Merger

We may disclose information during negotiations or completion of a restructuring, merger, or asset sale.

E. Upon Your Direction

With your permission, we disclose information to interact with third parties or for other purposes you request.


How We Store and Protect Your Information

We retain information as needed to provide the Platform and to meet legal, accounting, and case support obligations. Profile data is kept while your account remains active. Transactional data such as rides and liens is typically retained for at least seven years. If you request deletion, we will delete your information as described below. Some data may be retained for legitimate business or legal reasons.

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information. No method is 100 percent secure. We cannot guarantee security against unauthorized access or third party acts.


Your Rights And Choices

We provide ways to access and delete personal information and to exercise data rights.

A. All Users

Email Subscriptions. Unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in the message. Transactional emails will still be sent.

Text Messages. Opt out of promotional texts by texting END to 46080. To stop all texts, including transactional, text STOPALL to 46080. Providers can text STOP to provider messages. To re-enable, reply START. Standard rates apply.

Push Notifications. Disable in device settings. This may impact features such as arrival alerts.

Profile Information. Review or edit profile details in account settings.

Location Information. You can disable location sharing in device settings. Some features may be limited. You can also control some sharing in your account settings.

Cookie Tracking and Personalized Ads. Browser or device settings may allow controls. You may also adjust personalized advertising settings as provided in your account or notices.

Accessing Your Information. Visit the access portal, or sign in to view profile, preferences, coordination history, and lien information. Receipts may include additional data.

Deleting Your Account. Visit the deletion portal. We may be unable to delete in certain cases such as open trust, safety, or fraud matters. We may retain data for legitimate business or legal reasons such as open lien claims. Retained data is safeguarded and limited to necessary uses.

B. Jurisdiction Specific Rights

Residents of CA, CO, CT, DE, IA, MD, MN, MT, NE, NH, NJ, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA may have additional rights. See the state specific notice for instructions.


Children’s Data

Lien Rides is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. If we learn that a child under 18 has provided information, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided information, contact the Help Center.


The Platform may link to third party sites, products, or services. Their privacy practices differ from ours. Review their policies directly. We are not responsible for third parties.


Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy as the Platform evolves and laws change. Updates will be posted online. If changes are material, we will notify you through the Platform or by another method such as email. Your continued use means you accept the updated policy.
